unlicensed due to an unpaid speeding fine.

Transcript

EMMA ALBERICI, PRESENTER: The newly-elected Campbell Newman Government has suffered its first major
blow with the resignation of Police Minister David Gibson for driving without a licence.

Mr Gibson resigned tonight when it emerged he'd been driving after his licence was suspended last
year.

He was suspended for three months because of an unpaid speeding fine and now he may be charged over
the incident.

The Police Minister was regarded as a future LNP leader and had been in the job for just 10 days.
