Sydney Sheikh confirmed killed in Libya

Sydney Muslim leader Sheikh Nazar Zuway has been killed in the Libyan city of Sirte, where he was
supporting fighters from the new regime.

STEVE CANNANE, PRESENTER: A Sydney Muslim leader has been killed in Libya where he was helping the
new regime.

Sheikh Nasser Zuway was killed in the city of Sirte where fighters are trying to flush out the rest
of Colonel Gaddafi's supporters.

Sheikh Nasser had been in Libya since the uprising began in February.

KEYSAR TRAD, FRIEND: He's an Australian citizen of Libyan background who took the ultimate risk to
help his fellow human beings to win their liberty and freedom. He is still a hero of the national
resistance of Libya.

STEVE CANNANE: Keysar Trad says it's unclear exactly how Sheikh Nasser died. He is survived by his
wife and three children, who are all in Libya.
