CHAIR (Senator Lundy) —I declare open this public hearing of the Joint Standing Committee on the National Capital and External Territories. The committee is inquiring into the role of the National Capital Authority. The inquiry was referred by the Minister for Home Affairs, the Hon. Bob Debus MP, who asked the committee to report by 30 June. Today we will be hearing from representatives of the National Gallery of Australia and Immigration Bridge Australia. The evidence given today will be recorded by Hansard and will attract parliamentary privilege. I refer members of the media who may be present at this hearing to the need to fairly and accurately report the proceedings of the committee.

I require a resolution that submission No. 83 and supplementary submissions Nos 13.1, 24.1, 25.2, 32.1, 34.1, 39.1, 44.1, 53.1 and 73.1, as listed, be received and authorised for publication in relation to the inquiry into the role of the National Capital Authority. There being no objection, it is so ordered. In relation to exhibits, I need a resolution that exhibits 5 to 7, as listed, be received in relation to the inquiry into the role of the National Capital Authority. There being no objection, it is so ordered.
