Youth suicide
Proof

ACTING CHAIR (Mr Irons) —I now declare open this public roundtable with representatives from a range of government and non-government organisations. The roundtable aims to investigate policy and administrative changes that can be made to prevent youth suicide. I would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone for making time to speak with the committee today. This is the fourth in a series of public roundtables being held by the committee in relation to the inquiry into early intervention. This roundtable concludes the committee roundtable forum into the issue. The committee aims to table a report by the middle of 2011.

The first session of the roundtable includes participants representing various Commonwealth government departments and agencies and representatives from the Australian Capital Territory government. The second session focuses on representatives from the community sector. Please note that a Hansard transcript constitutes a formal proceeding of parliament and therefore you are advised that the standing orders apply to the giving of false or misleading information.
