The order of the day having been read for the resumption of the debate on the question—That the bills be now read a second time— And on the amendment moved thereto by Mr Abbott (Leader of the Opposition) to the Clean Energy Amendment (International Emissions Trading and Other Measures) Bill 2012, viz.— That all words after “That” be omitted with a view to substituting the following words:
“the House declines to give this bill a second reading and calls on the Government to immediately abolish all liability and scrap the carbon tax”—

On the motion of Mr Combet, Government amendments (1) and (2) to the Clean Energy Amendment (International Emissions Trading and Other Measures) Bill 2012 were made together, after debate.
Mr Bandt moved an amendment to the Clean Energy Amendment (International Emissions Trading and Other Measures) Bill 2012.
Debate continued.
