Mr Goodenough (Chair) presented the following document:

Human Rights—Parliamentary Joint Committee—Freedom of speech in Australia: Inquiry into the operation of Part IIA of the Racial Discrimination Act 1975 (Cth) and related procedures under the Australian Human Rights Commission Act 1986 (Cth)—Report, incorporating dissenting reports, 28 February 2017.

In accordance with standing order 39(e) the report was made a Parliamentary Paper.

Mr Goodenough and Mr Perrett, by leave, made statements in connection with the report.

Mr Goodenough moved—That the House take note of the report.

In accordance with standing order 39, the debate was adjourned, and the resumption of the debate made an order of the day for the next sitting.

Mr Goodenough moved—That the order of the day be referred to the Federation Chamber for debate.
