1220  Senator Abetz: To ask the Minister for Innovation, Industry, Science and Research—Further to the answer to question SI-10 taken on notice during the 2008-09 supplementary Budget estimates hearings of the Economics Committee:

(1) Can a list be provided of all programs which had underspends in the 2007-08 financial year, including for each program: (a) its total budget; and (b) its total underspend.

(2) (a) Which program requested a roll-over of its underspend; (b) how much was requested be rolled-over; and (c) what was the outcome of this request.

1221  Senator Abetz: To ask the Minister for Innovation, Industry, Science and Research—Further to the answer to question SI-13 taken on notice during the 2008-09 supplementary Budget estimates hearings of the Economics Committee:

(1) What is the ‘AusIndustry Branding’ campaign.

(2) What is the purpose of this campaign.

(3) Can full details of this campaign be provided, such as what was the cost of developing the campaign and website and what advertisements were run and where.

1222  Senator Abetz: To ask the Minister for Innovation, Industry, Science and Research—Further to the answer to question SI-21 taken on notice during the 2008-09 supplementary Budget estimates hearings of the Economics Committee: Was the assurance from Toyota given orally or in writing.

1223  Senator Abetz: To ask the Minister for Innovation, Industry, Science and Research—Further to the answer to question SI-22 taken on notice during the 2008-09 supplementary Budget estimates hearings of the Economics Committee: Is the Minister saying that 10 November 2008 was the date that Holden and Ford were officially advised that the Green Car Innovation Fund was open for business before the original advertised starting date of 2011; if not, on what date were Holden and Ford advised.

1224  Senator Abetz: To ask the Minister for Innovation, Industry, Science and Research—Further to the answer to question SI-24 taken on notice during the 2008-09 supplementary Budget estimates hearings of the Economics Committee: Can the Minister guarantee that no more money will be distributed from the Green Car Innovation Fund before the guidelines are formalised.

1225  Senator Abetz: To ask the Minister representing the Minister for Small Business, Independent Contractors and the Service Economy—With reference to question SI-12 taken on notice during the 2008-09 supplementary Budget estimates hearings of the Economics Committee:

(1) How many staff are based in the Minister’s electorate office.

(2) What is the Members of Parliament (Staff) Act 1984 classification of each staff member based in the electorate office.

(3) Can a copy of the duty statement of each staff member in the electorate office be provided.

(4) In regard to personal staff based in the electorate office, what is the supporting department for each.

 

 1226  Senator Abetz: To ask the Minister representing the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and the Arts—With reference to the Minister’s announcement on Monday, 5 January 2009:

(1) What was the purpose of the Minister’s telephone call to Mr Bob McMahon on 5 January 2009.

(2) What time, to the nearest 15 minutes, was this call made.

(3) What was the duration of the phone call.

(4) Did the Minister advise Mr McMahon of his decision regarding the pulp mill approval during this phone call.

(5) Did the Minister read Mr McMahon his press release, media conference statement or a portion thereof during this conversation.

(6) Did the Minister personally telephone anyone from Gunns Limited to advise them of his decision prior to the announcement.

(7) What time, to the nearest 15 minutes, did the Minister or his office contact Gunns Limited to advise them of his decision.

(8) Did the Minister telephone, contact or in any other way notify anybody else of his decision before the announcement at 12.30 pm; if so, for each instance: (a) who was contacted; (b) what was the time (to the nearest 15 minutes) of the contact; (c) what was the duration of the discussion; and (d) what was the nature of the discussion.

(9) Did the Minister’s office telephone, contact or in any other way notify anybody else of the Minister’s decision before the announcement at 12.30 pm; if so, for each instance: (a) who was contacted; (b) what was the time (to the nearest 15 minutes) of the contact; (c) what was the duration of the discussion; and (d) what was the nature of the discussion.
