Omnibus Repeal Day (Spring 2015) Bill 2015

Messages from the House of Representatives were reported transmitting for the concurrence of the Senate the following bills:

Message no. 518, dated 3 December 2015—A Bill for an Act to amend legislation relating to the criminal law, law enforcement and background checking, and for other purposes.

Message no. 513, dated 2 December 2015—A Bill for an Act to repeal certain Acts and provisions of Acts and to make various amendments of the statute law of the Commonwealth, and for related purposes.

The Minister for Employment (Senator Cash) moved—That these bills may proceed without formalities, may be taken together and be now read a first time.

Question put and passed.

Senator Cash moved—That these bills be now read a second time.

 

 

 

Explanatory memorandum : Senator Cash tabled an addendum to the explanatory memorandum relating to the Omnibus Repeal Day (Spring 2015) Bill 2015.

 

 

 

Consideration of legislation : Pursuant to order, the debate was adjourned and the resumption of the debate made an order of the day for the day fixed for committees to report on the bills, 3 February 2016.
