AUSTRALIAN EDUCATION (CONSEQUENTIAL AND TRANSITIONAL PROVISIONS)E BILL 2013E BANKING AMENDMENT (UNCLAIMED MONEY) BILL 2013E REGULATORY POWERS (STANDARD PROVISIONS) BILL 2013

Messages from the House of Representatives were reported transmitting for the concurrence of the Senate the following bills:

 Message no. 714, dated 19 June 2013—A Bill for an Act to deal with consequential and transitional matters in connection with the Australian Education Act 2013, and for related purposes.

 Message no. 715, dated 19 June 2013—A Bill for an Act to amend the Banking Act 1959, and for related purposes.

 Message no. 716, dated 20 June 2013—A Bill for an Act in relation to monitoring, investigation and enforcement by regulatory agencies, and for related purposes.

The Parliamentary Secretary for Defence (Senator Feeney) moved—That these bills may proceed without formalities, may be taken together and be now read a first time.

Question put and passed.

Senator Feeney moved—That these bills be now read a second time.

Explanatory memorandum: Senator Feeney tabled a revised explanatory memorandum relating to the Regulatory Powers (Standard Provisions) Bill 2013.

On the motion of Senator Feeney the debate was adjourned till the next day of sitting.
