FOREIGN AFFAIRS—DUTCH POLITICIAN—GEERT WILDERS

Senator Di Natale, pursuant to notice of motion not objected to as a formal motion, moved general business notice of motion no. 409—That the Senate—

 (a) condemns the personal invitation by Senator Bernardi to racist Dutch politician Geert Wilders to visit Australia; and

 (b) calls on Senator Bernardi to withdraw that invitation or, if not, for the Leader of the Opposition (Mr Abbott) to intervene.

Statements by leave: The Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (Senator Ludwig) and the Leader of the Australian Greens (Senator Bob Brown), by leave, made statements relating to the motion.
