The following petition, lodged with the Clerk by Senator Colbeck, was received:

 From 5 935 petitioners, requesting that the Senate urge the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and the Arts to postpone any decision to implement any no-take policy on shortfin mako, longfin mako and porbeagle sharks and begin a genuine consultation process involving recreational and commercial fishing sectors.
