NATIONAL LIBRARY OF AUSTRALIA-SENATE MEMBER OF COUNCIL

The President informed the Senate that he had received a letter from the Leader of the Opposition in the Senate (Senator Chaney) nominating Senator Hill to serve as a member of the Council of the National Library of Australia.

The Manager of Government Business (Senator Evans), by leave, moved-That, in accordance with the provisions of the National Library Act 1960, the Senate elect Senator Hill to be a member of the Council of the National Library of Australia from 2 March 1987 for a period up to, and including, 1 March 1990.
