SUBSIDY (CULTIVATION MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT) BILL 1986

Explanatory Memorandum: The Minister for Community Services (Senator Grimes) tabled an Explanatory Memorandum relating to the Bill, in substitution for the Explanatory Memorandum tabled on 22 October 1986.

Senator Siddons, by leave, moved the following amendments together, viz:

Page 7, paragraph 9 (3) (c), line 22, leave out ""and''.

Page 7, after paragraph 9 (3) (c), insert the following new paragraph:

""(ca) the equipment has an Australian content determined in accordance with the regulations of not less than 25%; and''.

Debate ensued.

Question-That the amendments be agreed to-put and negatived.

Senator Siddons, by leave, moved the following amendments together, viz:

Page 10, sub-clause 12 (1), line 3, leave out ""10%'', insert ""11%''.

Page 10, sub-clause 12 (2), line 7, leave out ""10%'', insert ""11%''.

Question-That the amendments be agreed to-put and negatived.
