The following 5 petitions, lodged with the Clerk by the Senators indicated, were received:

Senator Jessop, from 52 petitioners praying that the Senate request the Government to restore the Consumer Price Index flow-on to pensioners and to take measures to alleviate poverty traps.

Senator Jessop, from 240 petitioners praying that there be no introduction of payment for pensioners' pharmaceutical products and that the Australian pharmaceutical industry be reviewed.

Senator Sibraa, from 116 petitioners praying that the Senate request the Government to retain the Anzac Rifle Range in Malabar, NSW.

Senators Button and Georges, 2 petitions similar in wording, from 60 and 1635 petitioners, respectively, praying that the Senate request the Government to oppose the process of food irradiation and ban the importation of radioactive substances used in this process.
