DISABILITY SERVICES (TRANSITIONAL PROVISIONS AND CONSEQUENTIAL AMENDMENTS) BILL 1986

The Senate, according to Order, resolved itself into Committee for the further consideration of the Bills.

Senator Peter Baume, by leave, moved the following amendments to the Disability Services Bill 1986 together, viz:

Page 5, clause 7, definition of ""State'', line 16, leave out the definition.

Page 6, sub-clause 10 (1), line 19, leave out ""a State or'', insert ""an''.

Page 6, sub-clause 10 (1), line 20, leave out ""State or''.

Page 6, sub-clause 10 (4), line 39, leave out ""a State or'', insert ""an''.

Page 6, sub-clause 10 (4), line 40, leave out ""State or''.

Page 7, paragraph 10 (5) (b), line 13, leave out ""State or''.

Page 7, clause 11, line 38, leave out ""State or''.

Page 9, sub-clause 12 (6), line 11, leave out the sub-clause, insert the following sub-clause:

""(6) In this section, "person' includes an eligible organisation, but does not include a State.''.

Page 12, sub-clause 16 (2), line 40, leave out the sub-clause, insert the following sub-clause:

""(2) In this section, "person' includes an eligible organisation, but does not include a State.''.

Page 22, paragraphs 31 (1) (c) and (d), lines 30 and 31, leave out the paragraphs, insert the following word and paragraph:

Disability Services (Transitional Provisions and Consequential Amendments) Bill 1986:
