The following 11 petitions, lodged with the Clerk by the Senators indicated, were received:

Senator Robertson, from 80 petitioners praying that the Senate request the Government to develop improved economic policies which cater for the social and educational needs of all Australians.

Senator Durack, from 39 petitioners praying that no measures be taken to legalise drug usage and that the number of support facilities for drug users be increased.

Senators Michael Baume, Sir John Carrick and Puplick, from 245, 108 and 107 petitioners, respectively, praying that the Senate request the Government to retain the Anzac Rifle Range in Malabar, NSW.

Senator Powell, from 100 petitioners praying that the lease of the joint Australian-United States Defence Space Research Facility at Pine Gap be terminated.

Senator Vigor, from 83 petitioners praying that the Senate pass the Independent and Multicultural Broadcasting Corporation Bill 1986.
