Senator Zakharov, from 90 petitioners praying that the Senate legislate to close the joint Australian-United States electronic communications facilities at the Watsonia Army Barracks, Victoria.

Senator Ryan, from 119 petitioners praying that the Senate request the Government to restore funding for ""English as a Second Language'' programs and multicultural education.

Senator Georges, from 2 petitioners praying that a Joint Parliamentary Committee be established to consider proposals for the design of a new Australian national flag.
