CUSTOMS AND EXCISE LEGISLATION AMENDMENT BILL 1986

No. 1-Page 7, clause 25, lines 15 to 17, leave out the clause.

No. 2-Page 7, clause 26, lines 18 to 21, leave out the clause.

No. 3-Page 7, clause 27, lines 22 and 23, leave out the clause.

Consequential amendments made by the House of Representatives

(1) Clause 2, page 2, line 8, omit sub-clause (6).

(2) Part VI, page 7, line 14, omit the heading.

(3) Title, page 1, omit "", the Spirits Act 1906''.

The Minister for Industry, Technology and Commerce (Senator Button) moved-That the Committee agrees to the consequential amendments made by the House of Representatives.

The President resumed the Chair; and the Temporary Chairman of Committees (Senator Coleman) reported that the Committee had considered Message No. 356 of the House of Representatives in relation to the Customs and Excise Legislation Amendment Bill 1986, and had agreed to the consequential amendments made by the House of Representatives.

On the motion of Senator Button the Report from the Committee was adopted.
