ALLEGED TELEPHONE INTERCEPTIONS-ROYAL COMMISSION-FINAL REPORT-PAPER-MINISTERIAL STATEMENT

The Minister for Resources and Energy (Senator Evans) tabled the following Paper:

Alleged Telephone Interceptions-Royal Commission (Commissioner: The Hon. Mr Justice D. G. Stewart)-Final Report (Vol. 1), dated 30 April 1986.

Senator Evans, by leave, made a statement relating thereto and moved-That the Senate take note of the Paper.

Debate ensued.

Ordered-That the debate be adjourned till the next day of sitting, and that Senator Durack have leave to continue his speech on the resumption of the debate.

Statement, by leave: The Leader of the Australian Democrats (Senator Chipp), by leave, made a statement relating to the Paper.
