The following 19 petitions, lodged with the Clerk by the Senators indicated, were received:

Senator Michael Baume, from 772 petitioners praying that the Senate request the Government to provide Commonwealth recurrent funding for the Illawarra Christian School.

Senator Kilgariff, from 68 petitioners praying that the Senate request the Government to remove the mining veto provision from the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act.

Senator Macklin, from 194 petitioners praying that the Senate request the Government to re-impose the former housing loan interest rate ceiling.
