BRITISH NUCLEAR TESTS IN AUSTRALIA-AUSTRALIAN IONISING RADIATION ADVISORY COUNCIL-PAPERS

The Leader of the Opposition in the Senate (Senator Chaney), pursuant to Sessional Order, moved-That the Senate take note of the following Papers: British Nuclear Tests in Australia-

Comments by the Australian Ionising Radiation Advisory Council, dated 13 August 1984, on the Report of the expert committee on the review of data on atmospheric fallout (Kerr Committee).

Comments by the Australian Ionising Radiation Advisory Council, dated 2 August 1984, on Exposure of Australians to Radiation at Maralinga.

Debate ensued.

Ordered-That the debate be adjourned till the next day of sitting, and that Senator Kilgariff have leave to continue his speech on the resumption of the debate.
