AUSTRALIAN CITIZENSHIP AMENDMENT BILL 1984

The Senate, according to Order, resolved itself into Committee for the consideration of the Bill.

Clause 4 read- Senator Harradine moved an amendment, viz: Page 3, paragraph (1) (f), proposed new sub-sections 5 (6), (7) and (8), lines 28 to 42, leave out the proposed sub-sections.

Section 15 of the Principal Act is amended- (a) by omitting from paragraph (1) (b) 'sub-section (2) of section 14' and substituting 'sub-section 13 (2)';

(b) by omitting from sub-section (3) 'sub-section (8) of section 14' and substituting 'sub-section 13 (9)';

(c) by omitting from sub-section (3) 'paragraph (d) of that sub-section' and substituting 'sub-paragraph 13 (9) (d) (ii)'; and
