MINISTER FOR RESOURCES AND ENERGY-CENSURE MOTION: Suspension of Standing Orders

The Leader of the Opposition in the Senate (Senator Chaney) moved-That so much of the Standing Orders be suspended as would prevent Senator Chaney moving forthwith-That the Senate censures the Minister for Resources and Energy (Senator Walsh) for his deliberate misleading of the Senate by selective tabling of documents and his refusal to explain his actions despite repeated questioning by the Senate.

Debate ensued.

Senator Chaney thereupon moved-That the Senate censures the Minister for Resources and Energy (Senator Walsh) for his deliberate misleading of the Senate by selective tabling of documents and his refusal to explain his actions despite repeated questioning by the Senate.
