ADJOURNMENT

The Deputy-President (Senator Hamer), under Sessional Order, put the Question-That the Senate do now adjourn.

Debate ensued.

Notice of Motion: The Leader of the Opposition in the Senate (Senator Chaney), by leave, gave a Notice of Motion, as follows-To move on the next day of sitting-That the Senate- (a) while upholding the privileges of individual Members of Parliament, regrets the attacks made upon the integrity of members of the Department of Foreign Affairs by Senator Primmer; and

(b) records its full confidence in the integrity of the officers of the Department of Foreign Affairs.

Debate continued.

Question-resolved in the affirmative.

The Senate adjourned at 7.37 p.m. till Tuesday, 27 March 1984 at 2 p.m., unless otherwise called together in accordance with the Sessional Order.
