ELECTORAL REFORM-JOINT SELECT COMMITTEE-Message from the House of Representatives

The following Message from the House of Representatives was reported: MR PRESIDENT, Message No. 68 The House of Representatives transmits to the Senate the following Resolution which was agreed to by the House of Representatives this day and requests the concurrence of the Senate therein: That the resolution of appointment of the Joint Select Committee on Electoral Reform be amended: (a) by inserting after paragraph (3) the following new paragraph: ''(3A) That the members of the committee hold office as a joint committee until the House of Representatives expires by dissolution or effluxion of time.'', and

(b) by omitting paragraph (14), as amended, and substituting the following paragraphs: ''(14) That the committee have leave to report from time to time.

(14A) That the committee report as soon as possible.''.
