NOTICES

Notices of Motion were given, as follows- Senator Messner: To move on the next day of sitting- (1) That the following matter be referred to the Standing Committee on Social Welfare: Existing retirement income systems, with particular reference to any changes which may be necessary to ensure equitable and comprehensive income security for Australians of retirement age.

(2) That the Committee report to the Senate on or before the first sitting day in August 1984.

Senator Jack Evans: To move on the next day of sitting-That leave be given to introduce a Bill for an Act to prohibit advertisements relating to smoking and tobacco products in the Australian Capital Territory and for related purposes.

Senator Harradine: To move 2 sitting days after today-That leave be given to introduce a Bill for an Act to provide for approval by the Senate and the House of Representatives of treaties.
