CONSTITUTION ALTERATION (APPROPRIATION BILLS) BILL 1983

Senator Peter Rae, having altered his Notice of Motion in accordance with Standing Order 109, pursuant to notice moved-That leave be given to introduce a Bill for an Act to alter the Constitution to provide for automatic and simultaneous dissolution of both Houses of the Parliament in the event of disagreement between the Houses in relation to the passing of proposed laws appropriating revenue or moneys for ordinary annual services of the Government, and for related purposes.

On the motion of the Minister for Social Security (Senator Grimes) the debate was adjourned.
