TRADE AND COMMERCE-STANDING COMMITTEE-REPORT ON AUSTRALIA'S FORESTRY AND FOREST PRODUCTS INDUSTRIES-GOVERNMENT RESPONSE TO THE COMMITTEE'S REPORT AND RELATED REPORTS-MINISTERIAL STATEMENT

The Minister for Education (Senator Peter Baume), by leave, made a statement giving the Government's response to the Report of the Standing Committee on Trade and Commerce on Australia's Forestry and Forest Products Industries, the Report of the Industries Assistance Commission on Wood and Articles of Wood and the Report of the Forest Products Industries Advisory Council on Australia's Forest Products Industries.

Senator Archer, by leave, moved-That the Senate take note of the Statement.

Ordered-That the debate be adjourned till the next day of sitting, and that Senator Archer have leave to continue his speech on the resumption of the debate .
