NOTICES OF MOTION

Notices of Motion were given, as follows- Senator Mason: That, on the next day of sitting, he would move-That the Senate: (a) expresses its awareness and deep concern at the continuing threat to the world represented by the massive and increasing number of nuclear weapons in existence, especially in the Soviet Union and the United States;

(b) notes the existence and rapid growth of a world movement embracing all areas of political opinion designed to reduce and ultimately eliminate nuclear weapons from the world on a multilateral basis; and

(c) requests the Government to make urgent representations to the Governments of the Soviet Union, the United States, Britain, France and China to confer with the objective of an early and effective reduction of nuclear weapons of all kinds bearing in mind the lack of effective progress in this matter at the recent disarmament session of the United Nations and the Strategic Arms Limitation Talks.

Senator Lewis: That, twelve sitting days after today, he would move-That the Plumbers, Drainers and Gasfitters Board Ordinance 1982, as contained in Australian Capital Territory Ordinance No. 74 of 1982 and made under the Seat of Government (Administration) Act 1910, be disallowed.
