COMMONWEALTH ELECTORAL AMENDMENT BILL 1982

Senator Siddons, pursuant to Notice of Motion not objected to as a Formal Motion , moved-That leave be given to introduce a Bill for an Act to amend the Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918 to provide for the political affiliation of candidates at Parliamentary elections to be printed on ballot-papers, and to provide for the rotation of names on ballot-papers for House of Representatives elections.

Question-put and passed.

Senator Siddons, by leave, moved-That this Bill be now read a second time.

On the motion of the Minister for Veterans' Affairs (Senator Messner) the debate was adjourned.
