The Attorney-General (Senator Durack) moved-That the Senate do now adjourn.

Debate ensued.

Estimates Committee A-Change of Membership: The Deputy-President (Senator McClelland) informed the Senate that the President had received a letter from the Leader of the Government in the Senate (Senator Sir John Carrick) requesting a variation in the membership of Estimates Committee A.

The Minister for Social Security (Senator Chaney), by leave, moved-That Senator Hamer be discharged from further attendance on Estimates Committee A, and that Senator Hill, having been duly nominated in accordance with Standing Order 36AB, be appointed a member of the Committee.

Question-put and passed.

Question-That the Senate do now adjourn-put and passed.

The Senate adjourned at twenty-two minutes to four p.m. till Tuesday next at fifteen minutes to two p.m.
