INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS LEGISLATION-SELECT COMMITTEE-PROPOSED VARIATION OF RESOLUTION

The Chairman of the Select Committee on Industrial Relations Legislation ( Senator Harradine), by leave, moved-That paragraph (b) of the Resolution of the Senate of 5 May 1982 establishing the Select Committee on Industrial Relations Legislation be varied to read as follows: The Select Committee to report to the Senate on or before 26 October 1982.

Debate ensued.

The Minister for Social Security (Senator Chaney), by leave, moved-That the debate be now adjourned and that, notwithstanding anything contained in the Resolution of the Senate of 5 May 1982, the Committee, as established by that Resolution, continue to function until the question of an extension of time for reporting has been determined.

Question-put and passed.

Ordered-That the resumption of the debate be an Order of the Day for the next day of sitting.
