FOREIGN AFFAIRS AND DEFENCE-STANDING COMMITTEE-CHANGE IN MEMBERSHIP

The President informed the Senate that he had received a letter from the Leader of the Government in the Senate (Senator Sir John Carrick) requesting a variation in membership of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence .

The Minister for Social Security (Senator Chaney), by leave, moved-That Senator Lewis be discharged from further attendance on the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence and that Senator MacGibbon, having been duly nominated in accordance with Standing Order Order 36AA, be appointed a member of the Committee.
