The following Message from the House of Representatives was reported:

MR PRESIDENT, Message No. 302 The House of Representatives transmits to the Senate a Bill intituled ''A Bill for an Act to amend the 'Tobacco Charge Act (No . 1) 1955' '', in which it desires the concurrence of the Senate.

House of Representatives B. M. SNEDDEN, Canberra, 6 May 1982 Speaker The Minister for Education (Senator Peter Baume) moved-That the Bill may be taken through all its stages without delay.

Question-put and passed.

Senator Peter Baume moved-That this Bill be now read a first time.

On the motion of Senator Sibraa the debate was adjourned.
