SOCIAL SERVICES AMENDMENT BILL (NO. 3) 1981 [NO. 2] (1982)

Order of the Day read for the adjourned debate on the Question-That this Bill be now read a second time-And on the amendment moved thereto by Senator Haines, viz : At end of motion, add '', but the Senate is of the opinion that the Bill should be amended so as to provide that married persons who would be disqualified from receiving unemployment benefit by clause 3 of the Bill shall receive such benefit after a waiting period of 14 days, and that during that period a special benefit is payable to such a person in a case of extreme hardship''.
