BROADCASTING AND TELEVISION AMENDMENT BILL 1982

Senator Macklin, pursuant to Notice of Motion not objected to as a Formal Motion , moved-That leave be given to introduce a Bill for an Act to amend the Broadcasting and Television Act 1942 to alter the restrictions on the broadcasting and televising of election matter in an election.

Question-put and passed.

Bill presented, and on the motion of Senator Macklin read a first time.

Senator Macklin, by leave, moved-That this Bill be now read a second time.

On the motion of the Attorney-General (Senator Durack) the debate was adjourned.
