CONCILIATION AND ARBITRATION AMENDMENT BILL (NO. 2) 1981. The Leader

of the Opposition in the Senate (Senator Button), pursuant to notice, moved--That leave be given to introduce a bill for an Act to amend the Conciliation and Arbitration Act 1904.

Question--put and passed.

Bill presented, and on the motion of Senator Button read a first time.

Senator Button, by leave, moved--That this Bill be now read a second time.

On the motion of the Minister for Finance (Senator Dame Margaret Guilfoyle) the debate was adjourned.

Senator Button moved--That the resumption of the debate be an Order of the Day for a later hour of the day.

Debate ensued.
