The Acting Leader of the Australian Democrats (Senator Mason) sought leave to move a motion relating to constitutional obligations of the House of Representatives.

Objection being raised, leave not granted.

Proposed suspension of Standing Orders : Senator Mason moved--That so much of the Standing Orders be suspended as would prevent Senator Mason moving a motion relating to constitutional obligations of the House of Representatives.
