Suspension of Standing Orders to deal with Bills together: The Minister for Aboriginal Affairs (Senator Baume), by leave, moved--That so much of the Standing Orders be suspended as would prevent the Questions with regard to the several stages for the passage through the Senate of all or several of the Bills being put in one motion at each stage, the consideration of all or several of such Bills together in Committee of the Whole, and the reading of the short titles only on every order for the reading of the Bills.

Question--put and passed.

Senator Baume moved--That the Bills may be taken through all their stages without delay.

Question--put and passed.

On the motion of Senator Baume the Bills were read a first time.

Senator Baume moved--That these Bills be now read a second time.

On the motion of Senator Robertson the debate was adjourned.
