CUSTOMS AMENDMENT (NO. 2) 1981

Senator Macklin, pursuant to Notice of Motion not objected to as a Formal Motion, moved--That leave be given to introduce a Bill for an Act to amend the Customs Act 1901 to provide for approval by Parliament of the export of minerals extracted from sand.

Question--put and passed.

Bill presented and, on the motion of Senator Macklin, read a first time.

Senator Macklin, by leave, moved--That this Bill be now read a second time.

On the motion of the Minister for Veterans' Affairs (Senator Messner) the debate was adjourned.
