HEALTH ACTS AMENDMENT BILL (NO. 2) 1981

Senator Haines, pursuant to Notice of Motion not objected to as a Formal Motion, moved--That leave be given to introduce a Bill for an Act to amend certain Acts relating to sickness and hospital benefits to provide for a voluntary contribution scheme for health insurance.

Question--put and passed.

Bill presented and, on the motion of Senator Haines, read a first time.

Senator Haines, by leave, moved--That this Bill be now read a second time.

On the motion of the Minister for Veterans' Affairs (Senator Messner) the debate was adjourned.
