33    Tax Laws Amendment (Gifts) Bill 2015

A message from the House of Representatives was reported transmitting for the concurrence of the Senate the following bill:

Message no. 501, dated 25 November 2015—A Bill for an Act to amend the law relating to taxation, and for related purposes.

The Assistant Minister for Multicultural Affairs (Senator Fierravanti-Wells) moved—That this bill may proceed without formalities and be now read a first time.

Consideration of legislation : Senator Fierravanti-Wells, by leave, moved—That the provisions of paragraphs (5) to (8) of standing order 111 not apply to this bill, allowing it to be considered during this period of sittings.
