Senator ELLISON (Minister for Justice and Customs) (8:49 PM) —I understand that the warrant is provided to the person at the time it is executed. That is straightforward. If the person has a complaint in relation to the issuing of the warrant or any aspect of it then that person can complain to the inspector-general of intelligence. In the case of a warrant being executed by the police, the complaint can be made to both the inspector and the Ombudsman. The warrant is given to the person at the time of execution.
