Senator MURRAY (5:04 PM) —Senator Murphy was somewhat light-hearted about his amendments but I would suggest to you, Madam Temporary Chairman, that they have greater range and perhaps more policy integrity than mine, because they address the issues of mid-strength RTDs as well. The reason I left them out of mine was in the vain hope that, by pitching very low and having a very low revenue consequence, the government and Labor might have been enticed. I was wrong to do so, so I do not think Senator Murphy should dismiss his amendments quite as lightly as he does and I would be happy to record our support for them.
