Senator MACKAY (9:36 PM) —In my capacity as a whip, I have total sympathy for the minister's position. However, there is a general understanding that we may attempt to finish this bill by lunchtime tomorrow, so in my official capacity I would be a bit reluctant to agree to an unlimited adjournment to a later hour. For reasons which all parties are aware of, we need to meet the deadline. I understand the minister's position, but for a number of reasons lunchtime tomorrow is it in terms of people's participation. Would the minister care to respond to that?
