Senator HARRADINE (7:58 PM) —Given what Senator Stott Despoja said about the importance of a public inquiry or investigation, how would the minister propose to alter the bill that is before us to achieve that end or does the minister not believe that it ought to be public? I hope that I heard Senator Stott Despoja correctly. Did I hear her correctly saying that there should be a public inquiry? Under those circumstances, how is this to be achieved? Could I ask the minister that in the alternative way: why is it not to be a public review or a public inquiry?
