Senator IAN MACDONALD (Minister for Forestry and Conservation) (6:42 PM) —It was the intention at the last meeting that they would be. The reports that I have had from my officials are that it is a laborious process, and I am not now confident that they will be dealt with. They are on the agenda to be dealt with, and we still officially expect to be able to deal with them. I am told by my advisers that there is a fifty-fifty chance that they will be ready, if that is of any use to us. It is hardly a very precise way to debate in the chamber. Perhaps I can leave it by saying that I would hope that it will be the case. It was intended to be the case, but I do not have any great, high expectations of that happening.

Bill agreed to.

Bill reported without amendment; report adopted.
