Senator ABETZ (Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Defence) (12:52 PM)
—I thank the opposition for their contribution to this debate. The Veterans' Affairs Legislation Amendment Bill (No. 1) 2000 introduces a number of initiatives that will directly and indirectly benefit veterans and their families, and we as a government would like to see this simply as a continuation of our policies in support of the veterans community. We welcome the support from the opposition.
Question resolved in the affirmative.
Bill read a second time, and passed through its remaining stages without amendment or debate.
