(Question No. 1468)

Senator Parer asked the Minister representing the Treasurer, upon notice, on 10 June 1994:

How much revenue does the Treasury expect to raise from applying fringe benefit taxes to discounted travel given to travel agents and their employees.

Senator Cook —The Assistant Treasurer has provided the following answer to the honourable senator's question:

The Australian Taxation Office does not collect the data relating to discounted travel given to travel agents and their employees and is therefore unable to supply figures on the amount of FBT applicable to these benefits.
