Senator ABETZ —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:

  That the Senate—

  (a)notes the magnificent swim of Melissa Carlton at the Commonwealth Games in Victoria, Canada, which won her the first Australian gold medal at these Games for an athlete with a disability;

  (b)congratulates Melissa on her fine performance which is an inspiration to all Tasmanians and other Australians;

  (c)applauds the administrators of the Commonwealth Games for providing the opportunity for athletes with disabilities to compete at the Commonwealth Games; and

  (d)congratulates all Australian athletes at the Commonwealth Games, especially athletes with disabilities.
